Boarding Home Initiative
In December 2004, the Community Health Law Project was awarded a discretionary grant through the NJ Department of the Treasury to do outreach at boarding homes and residential health care facilities and to provide direct services to low-income residents with mental and physical disabilities. The funding has been extended through the Division of Mental Health Services of the NJ Department of Human Services. Staff from the Law Project’s regional offices have been focusing their outreach on boarding homes and RHCFs in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Essex, Mercer, Monmouth, and Union counties.
